The Head or Tail

The Head or Tail (2023) is collaboration between Nicky Daniels and Zeynep Burça Oral during the Netherlands Dance Theatre (NDT) Open Space 2023 collaboration with the Royal Acdamey of Arts the Hague and the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague. 

The performance was guerilla-esque, and took place just outside the Amare in the Hague. The performance features Nicky in the centre of a cage with condoms filled with white pearly liquid on her hands, as she moves jaggedly, and by perveting gendered expactation. Oral takes up sonic space with a large portiable JBL speaker, her laptop full of heavy industry beats, and a microphone to narrate. The performance is ensues via dance and sound dialogue.
